Opened in 1994 and situated about eight kilometres out of Opotiki at the top of Woodlands Road, the Gallery has a good range of Russell's work. He majors on water, trees, and mountains; but on commission work has canvassed a wide spectrum of subjects from stock cars to portraits. These three paintings are typical of his subject matter and style.
